Team Xtreem GB PC64 CL3 Review

Posted on July 15th, 2007 | by

Once the latencies were eased up to 4-4-4-8, the modules feltvery relaxed and wanted to clock higher. Since the AW9D-MAX runs out ofsteam at about 470FSB, we had to use dividers to get the modules tooperate at a higher speed. We easily achieved 500MHz at 4-4-4-8 withjust 2.35V but we had to pump more voltage to get it going. We finallyended up at 550MHz (DDR2-1100) which required 2.55V to be stable. Thisis not bad considering that the latencies were pretty tight at 4-4-4-8.

Razer Copperhead

Posted on February 26th, 2007 | by

Here we have the front view and rear view of the RazerCopperhead. The Copperhead is designed to be symmetrical as it can beused as a right-handed mouse or a left-handed mouse. The two mainbuttons are quite large and there’s a semitransparent scroll wheel inbetween the two buttons. We were told that main buttons have been coatedwith non-slip rubber, but the button feels like hard plastic. The mousemeasures in at 5.04 in length and 2.5 in width, so it’s really not abulky mouse…

abit AW9D-MAX Review @

Posted on January 8th, 2007 | by

The AW9D-MAX is truly built for overclockers and is designedfor enthusiasts. The board layout was near excellent but we couldn’thelp picking on the PCI slot which was located rather close to thesecondary PCI-E x16 graphics slot. This is a serious problem for gamerswho plan to install a better soundcard and run dual GPU setup at thesame time. But there’s no need for a dual GPU configuration especiallywhen you can run almost any game at maximum setting/resolution with asingle GeForce 8800GTX or the upcoming ATI/AMD R600 graphics card.

Biostar Sigma Gate V763GS GeForce 76GS Review

Posted on January 4th, 2007 | by

Biostar’s budget friendly EGate V7603GS21 graphics card packsa powerful punch for your money. Again, to keep the costs low, thepackage bundle just comes with the bare minimum for those who prefer notto pay for any extras. The included V-Ranger overclocking utility is arevolutionary way of overclocking graphics cards. And surely, thislittle beast can overclock! With the V-Ranger utility, we managed 702MHz on the core, 75% faster than stock, and that was done with the stockcooler. Armed with GDDR3, this graphics card is virtually a 7600GT indisguise. Actually, it blows a 7600GT when overclocked ;) The GPU doesget a little toasty when overclocked and overvolted, so we believe itmay be a good idea to give it a better cooler.
